The lovely Emma from Pocketto Zine (a really cool online magazine) asked me to do an illustration for their latest cover. The brief was 'back in time', and they wanted a 40's type feel :)

I think it turned out rad!

I know everyone has over talked this way too much, but yeah even though it's lame to be sad about someone you don't know in any way shape or form, I always was interested in Michael Jackson and I always felt he was an innocent soul, that's enough rambling from me! oh and if you know me, you always know I draw people that die, I dunno why, but it makes me feel better in some slightly strange way.

Okay so I thought it would be really fun to offer custom couple art, for $75 dollars which would inclue an A4 original artwork, by me, done mainly in ink and acrylics on some nice firm card!
Anyway, this is where I need help! I want to draw an example of what im talking about to put up on my etsy site, but I need a willing model. So if you're in a relationship, have a photograph of you and your partner, then just leave a comment below with a link to it. I'll randomly select a winner and hey presto...free art! The condition is that I'll be using your original photograph alongside the art up on my etsy site to give other people the idea of what I'm offering!
I'd draw myself, but you know I'm single, lol

Shane and I decided to have a fun day and go sailing, but then there was wind, so we had to rethink. Ended up going down the road from his place to this beatiful spot called wappa dam. I couldn't believe he has never taken me there before *grumpy pants*

Horse Head and Bobby Pins
Jun. 5th, 2009 | 11:43 am

thankful
I find this really rad op shop the other day in nambour, with under 1 dollar price tags. This is a rare thing in Brisbane these days and makes me not want to go op shopping in Brisbane ever again! *END RANT* lol

My 30 cent horse head buy
I love this, it's so creepy and I want to stick it on a wooden box and decorate the box with diamontes and jewels and glitter!
The other piece of news I have for you concerns bobby pins. Now turns out I've been wearing these suckers the wrong way my entire life! Through some random bobbypin search, I came across a blog where this girl explained that the curvy side of the bobbypin is actually meant to sit closest to your skull and the smooth side goes on the outside *hits head* it actually makes more sense, because bobbypins have a opening at the front, and if you wear them the correct way you don't need to open them apart with your teeth before pushing them into your hair!
That paragraph might only make sense to me, but I just figured if there was someone else out their silly like me they ought to know the truth :)
